New Build
Due to the site layout and the landscape of the surrounding houses a massive retaining wall was built to support the bank using reinforced concrete. The retaining wall was tanked using the bitumen tanking to divert the spring water between the two houses under the steps and then picked up in the garden forming natural spring pond. The overflow was discharged into a stone trough which was build in a boundary wall previously was used for animals drinking water. Two 5 bedroom house with double garage were build using stones from the hippo homes quarry. Balcony was added to the houses facing the county side to capture the stunning views.
The architect was John Thornton.
