After
Extensive refurbishment work was carried out on 37 Albany Terrace. The Albany Terrace was formerly converted in to two flats so we had the task of reverting the terrace to its original layout of a 7 bedroom house. Two additional on-suite bathrooms were also added to the property.
Given that in Georgian houses timber lintels were commonly used and due to the fact that these were decaying the lintels above the bay windows were replaced with reinforced concrete and parapet walls, finial and the walls below were all rebuilt. The finial deteriorated so it was replaced with new Yorkshire stone. The wall below was constructed on RSJ replacing the timber beam.
All the lead work was replaced and the sash windows were repaired and partially replaced. All missing architrave and skirting were replaced to match existing profiles.
Albany terrace is a listed building restored with great diligence to its former glory of a Georgian family home.
